Weather demands for hot snacks in the evenings!!
This instant samosa was made using frozen samosa sheets “Fresh samosa Patti “.Bought these patties almost a month back and I almost forgot about those kept in freezer. last week end when I was looking for cheese and other stuff saw these and thought of making for evening snacks. 5- 10 minutes to boil potatoes and your samosas are ready in minutes.
Keep the patties out of the freezer to thaw and boil potatoes. Allow to cool down, meanwhile chop onion. Then remove the skin of potatoes and roughly chop .Heat oil and add cumin saute onion add potatoes with masalas .Mix well . Place fillings on samosa sheets and deep fry…..Instant samosas are ready to serve ……..Serve hot with tea.

- Onion _ 1
- Potatoes _ 2
- Cumin _ 1/2 tsp
- Chilly powder _ 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala _ 1/2 tsp
- Vegetable Masala _ 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder _ 1/4 tsp
- Oil _ as needed
- Salt _ as needed
For samosa _
- Pastry sheets _ 5 (long rectangular )
- Maida _ 1 tbsp
- Water _ 1 – 2 tbsp
- Oil _ As needed
1.Was and pressure cook potatoes for 2-3 whistles .Aloow to cool down and remove the skin. Now roughly cut into cubes and keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a kadai add cumin, then add onion and saute till it turns golden brown in colour.
3. Added potatoes with salt, turmeric powder, vegetable masala and garam masala. mix well and mash the lightly .(with the back of your spoon)
4.Make a paste with maida mixing water and keep aside . Place fillings on samosa patties. Fold the sheet and towards the end stick the pastry sheets with maida paste .
4.Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry each samosa. Serve hot.
