Instant Mango Pickle Recipe

Easy and quick mango pickle recipe from Kerala Sadhya recipe collection. This instant mango pickle is served for Onam sadhya and  other occasions like weeding, birthdays…..

Cut Mangoes into small pieces. Add salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder, methi powder and hing. Heat a kadai add oil, as oil gets heated add mustard . Allow mustard to splutter, in low flame now add the mango mixture to kadai.Switch off the flame  and mix well.

*Use unripe sour mangoes.

* If using methi seeds, dry roast for a while and the powder it.

*Can consume immediately , or can be refrigerated for 3-4 days.

Ingredients

Raw Mango (sour mangoes cut into small pieces) _ 1 cup

Red Chilly powder _ 1 tsp

Turmeric powder _ 4-5 pinches

Fenugreek/Methi powder _ 1/2 tsp

Asefetodia/ Hing _ a pinch

Salt _ as needed

For Seasoning

Sesame Oil _ 1 tbsp

Mustard _ 1 tsp

 

 

Instructions
