Chocolate Cake in Microwave / Quick Chocolate Cake Recipe

Happiness is desserts ready in 5 minutes. Craving for dessert after dinner, mid night or any time of the day then try out this  quick chocolate cake recipe in microwave . Chocolate cake ready in just 6 minutes. This recipe makes a great snacking cake, moist and spongy.

Grease a microwave safe tray/dish . In a mixing bowl sieve flour, coco powder, baking powder and cooking soda. In 1.5 tbsp luke warm water mix coffee powder. Keep the instant coffee aside.In a separate bowl add curd, butter. Sieve sugar and add to the mixture, beat till fluffy. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Gradually add 3 tbsp of milk and mix, in medium speed for about a minute. Transfer the batter to the greased tray. Batter should be filled just till the half the tray. Microwave at 100% powder for 6 minutes. Remove from microwave and allow it to cool down.

  • This recipe makes a moist spongy snacking cake.
  • Use all the ingredients in room temperature.
  • Cooking method is microwave at 100% power ( just like reheating the food, microwave for 6 minutes or till a tooth pick inserted comes out clean)
  • Use any microwave dish for baking , fill the batter only till half of the dish allowing enough space for batter to raise. If the batter is filled in too much it might overflow.
  • The batter raises whiles baking and settles down.

Ingredients

Plain Flour – 1 cup

Coco Powder _ 3 tbsp

Instant Coffee _ 1 tsp

Powdered white sugar _ 1/2 cup

Curd _ 1/2 cup

Butter _ 1/2 cup

Baking powder _ 1 tsp

Cooking Soda _ 1/4 tsp

Milk _ 2.5

tbsp

 

Instructions

1.Grease a microwave safe tray/dish .

3.In 1 tsp luke warm water mix coffee powder. Keep the instant coffee aside.

 

4. In a separate bowl add curd, butter. Sieve sugar and add to the mixture, beat till fluffy. Now add instant coffee and mix.

 

5. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

6. Gradually add 2.5 tbsp of milk and mix, in medium speed for about a minute.

7. Transfer the batter to the greased tray. Batter should be filled just till the half the tray. Microwave at 100% powder for 6 minutes.

The batter will raise while baking and the settles down.

 

8. Remove from microwave and allow it to cool down.

9.  Serve this moist , spongy snacking cake dusting with powdered sugar, chocolate frosting or even ice-cream.
