Pudina Chutney with CoconutPrint This
Mint leaves/ pudina _ about 3/4 cup
Coconut( grated) _ 3/4 cup
Green chilli _ 3-4
Fried gram dal/ pottukadalai _ 1 tbsp
Tamarind paste _ 1 tsp
Salt _ 3/4 tsp
Oil _ 1 tsp
Mustard _ 1 tsp
1. Saute pudina leaves at low flame a minute in a kadai to get rid for the raw taste.
2. Grind together pudina leaves, coconut, green chilli, fried gram dal, tamarind, turmeric powder and salt with water( little water , just enough to grind to a smooth paste).
3.Transfer chutney to a serving bowl and season with mustard. Serve with idli, dosa.
