Kulcha is an Indian flat bread, a variation of naan. Traditionally kulcha is baked in earthen clay oven called tandoor.
This is a whole wheat kulcha recipe without yeast ( replaced with baking powder, cooking soda) easy to cook on tawa.
In a bowl, add whole wheat, salt, cooking soda, ghee, and mix.Add curd, milk and knead the dough for 5 mins. Keep the dough covered for 2-3 hours. In a bowl, add finely chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, crushed garlic, salt and mix well. Divide the dough into balls of equal size. Add enough flour on the rolling board and place the ball to rollout. Place the filling in the centre. Make a parcel, and roll it out again. Heat a tawa and cook all the kulcha and keep aside. Finally add some butter on a tawa and place kulcha one by one to fry till you get a golden brown colour. Serve them hot with some gravy.
